We love pasta in our house and this dish is always a regular on our menu. Serve with garlic bread to really complete the meal.

Ingredients // Yield 4-5
- 600g chicken breast
- 500g fettuccine
- 1 Tbsp oil
- Lawry’s seasoning
- 2 Tsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp plain flour
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 1 cup cream (thickened or pure)
- 1/4 cup of white wine*
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 Tsp basil
- 1 Tsp parsley (plus additional parsley to serve on top)
- 1/4 Tsp onion powder
- Pepper (for seasoning)
If you like more herbs, feel free to add them
This recipe is adapted from Grandma Judy’s famous Philly Cheesesteak recipe. She’ll tell you, and I agree, it’s all about the bread rolls you use… and the steak… and the Lawry’s… and the cheese… and the onion. But mostly the rolls. G Judy gets her sub rolls from a nice little Italian bakery in Philadelphia, while we have to suffer sub-par rolls from our corner store.
Trust me when we say it’s all about the rolls. We have seriously tried five different types and none of them compare to those we had in Philly. But it may also have something to do with G Judy’s amazing cooking!
Thanks to mumma Nat for eating with us and being patient as we took the photos for the blog. This recipe is quick, but so flavourful. If serving to kids or as a lunch, try cutting the bread rolls in half to make mini Aussie Cheesesteaks.

- 100g Chang’s Original Fried Noodles
- 3 Tbspns Peanut Butter*
- 250g Nestle Dark Chocolate Melts**
- Baking Cups (for serving)
*American peanut butter tastes so much better than the Aussie stuff. If you are not fortunate enough to own any American brand of peanut butter, any other creamy brand will suffice.
**B loves dark chocolate so we tend to make most of our chocolate-based dishes with Dark. Milk or even white chocolate also tastes delicious in this recipe.
This recipe is one of our favourites. We make a BIG batch so we have leftovers for lunches during the week.

- 5 sheets puff pastry, partially thawed
- 1 Tbsp milk (to brush pastry with)
