Tuna Pastabake

Looking for a quick, healthy meal? Look no further! This meal can be made ahead of time and frozen or kept in the fridge, ready to be baked at a moments notice.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients // Yield 6-8 servings

  • 575g jar of Leggo’s spinach and garlic pastabake sauce
  • 500g pasta (we use large shells)
  • 425g tin of tuna
  • 1 cup of frozen vegetables
  • 1 cup grated tasty or shredded cheese
  • Parmesan cheese (to serve)

Procedure: (with images)

  1. Pre-heat oven to 200°C (180 if using fan forced).
  2. In a large pot/saucepan, bring 2 litres of salted water to boil. Add pasta and cook for 10-12 minutes or until soft.
  3. Meanwhile, cook frozen vegetables in the microwave for 4 minutes or until soft. Set aside.
  4. Drain any excess liquid from can of tuna.
  5. Drain the pasta once it’s cooked and return it to the saucepan. Add the vegetables, pasta sauce and tuna. Stir to combine.

  1. Spread pastabake in a baking dish and top with grated cheese.

  1. Cook for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and golden brown.

  1. Allow dish to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  2. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and serve.

Leftovers
Chill!: Store in tupperware or in a bowl covered with plastic-wrap for up to 3 days.
Heat!: Reheat single portions in microwave for 3 minutes (double that time if the pasta bake is frozen).
Freeze!: Freeze any leftovers in an airtight container for up to a month.

  1. We had this on Thursday night – i prefer the sauce you have to the dried packet stuff we had. My oldest is sitting next to me saying he wants some now because i only let him have toast for breakfast
